Philips 42PF9631D 42" Plasma TV

We did a lot of research before going to the store "just to look." This TV actually got a luke warm review from cnet and there weren't any reviews on Epinions yet at the time, but we fell in love with it. The picture grabbed us even though the store had regular cable running to the televisions. The other tvs looked terrible next to this one. It was pretty confusing to hook up, but I think that's common. A week later, we are very happy with it. The ambilight modes don't really seem to make that much of a difference in the picture, but it looks really cool. I'm glad that we didn't get PC Magazine's issue where they put it in the "completely useless" category before we bought it because we probably would have passed on what we have found to be a nice family tv.
