The Bottom Line:
An outstanding value for the money. I highly recommend it.
The manufacturer is one of the best names in the business. Brilliant picture, brilliant engineering. All the best TVs that aren't SONY are Phillips/Magnavox. Period. This is an excellent example of their technology taken to the next level.
The packaging is excellent protection for a really nicely sized unit. The instruction manual is easy to reference through the setup, use and care, and features.
Features are where we get into the real bonanza with this unit. The television serves as a computer display for audio or images, has USB connectivity, lots of video and audio connections, HDMI digital connections (3) and enough modes of 16x9, standard 4x3, zoom, stretch, and resize modes to keep even the hard core video or film enthusiast happy.
The real treat is in the quality of image. The set features 1920x1080p resolution and pixel plus technology that enhances the resolution and clarity for an awesome viewing experience. The audio also will astound you. The sound synthesizer simulates surround on a well-equipped amp system. The audio is really quite nicely handled by itself, but it supports connection to a surround audio system that you might want with a screen this clear.
Movies and sports are great. HD is the only way to watch them and this set will see you through even the worst seasons of you favorite NFL team.
All in all, I'd rate this set a 95 out of 100. Make it 47 inches, and I'll give it 100.
