I have been searching for an lcd hdtv for quite a long time. With so many product upgrades it's almost impossible to find new technology with a good sticker price. Just when I was ready to give up on my search I decided to take a visit to my local Sams Club. The first tv's I saw were Vizio's and Sonys. And then I saw the Philips 47" Lcd set up on the corner of the lcd aisles. The Lcd looked amazing. Very sleek look, gloss black with a clear ceramic bezel. The clear bezel is actually how the speakers output in front of the lcd. Picture quality was flawless. I noticed that this particular tv was a 120hz lcd. The other tv's were 60hz and the pictures didn't look nearly as good. The 120hz makes movies look almost 3d, lifelike on blu-ray. The Philips 47PFL7403D also has a response time of 2ms. This is almost unheard of and I'm still looking for something that is quicker than this. Then was the pricetag, $1199. 47" and only $1199 with 120hz motion!!!!! I decided to purchase on the spot and I have been happy ever since. My only complaint about the tv is the lack of a pc input. My s-video from my laptop is fuzzy and I think a pc input would clear that up. However the lcd does have 4 hdmi, s-video, component, a/v, and dvi inputs.
