I Love this TV!

Pros Picture is INCREDIBLE!!! Superb Functionality!!!
Cons Expensive if you don't haggle or price challenge.....
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I highly recommend this TV to anyone....just don't over pay for it!
I had been searching and researching for a very long time looking for a big screen TV to fill my oversized living room. When it came time to make the decision two factors were important: 1) It had to be HDTV capable(preparing for the future) 2) Had to be widescreen over 50". Armed with these 2 factors I went to the showrooms and quickly realized that the options available to me were wider than I first thought.....but when I first saw this television the picture jumped out and grabbed me and the sound was crisp and clear. The HDTV feed made you feel that you were actually inside the set with a rich 3D feel. The Pioneer set and the Toshiba equivalent that I previewed were close but no cigar I had to have the Philips--even though the Toshiba was about $1,000 cheaper, which of course my wife pointed out, but she agreed that the Philips was better especially aesthetically (more space age as she put it). We went ahead and purchased the set for $4,000 and were real happy with our purchase...that is until I came across a website two days later offering this TV for $2,500. I quickly returned to Best Buy armed with this web page and they were happy to credit my account with $1,500. When I got the set home unfortunately I have it hooked to cable and the picture was marginal (but then again it is cable!)....but DVDs were incredible, just what I had hoped for. It's time to get that HD satellite receiver. I've been looking at the RCA DTC100...the guy at the store told me I needed a $100 adapter for the RGB input because I didn't have an RCA TV and probably didn't have one. Was he ever wrong! This TV has more hook-ups for complete functionality than there are stripes on a baboons butt! It is wired for sound and ready to go!
