I was looking for a 55 inch HDTV for $2300.00 Canadian. i went to all the major electronics stores here in British columbia most of them did not carry Philips HDTV. i finally
went to a store called Vision and the baby "Philips 55PP9753 55 in. Projection Television" was waiting for me.
i have tried it, played with the picture. The sound was real surround. Paid for and got it delivered almost a month ago. Next, i went to the other store to campare the other brand names like Hitachi, Sony, Panasonic...Believe it or not the picture on the Philips was way better than the one on the other brands. with that HDTV, the picture quality you have after activating "Pixel Plus" is the same you have on an Hitachi or Sony when the have a HD set-top box on. You really get HD-like pics from cable, VCR or DVD. when i use a progressive scan DVD player, i get an incredible 100% Pure picture. It is a very good investment when you consider the fact that HDTV will be standard for TV in a very near futur.
