I enjoy the sound and style of this cd player.
This is a really good little cd player. I purchased the AX5006 model in a car kit. We were taking a road trip to Lake Tahoe and I wanted to be able to play cd's in the car instead of cassettes. The car kit came with the AC/DC adaptor, cigarette light adaptor, car cassette adaptor and a set of earphones.
The sound that came through the car speakers was just great! We really enjoyed being able to skip quickly over songs on the cd that we did not like. The batteries lasted a long time. Also, we could not get the player to skip (45 sec skip protection) even though we went through some really rough terrain.
Listening to the player through the earphones works very well too. The cd player is easy to operate and I love its style.
I just want to make a note - for those of you who may find it of importance. There is a little adaptor available that plugs into the earphone jack that allows you to use 2 sets of earphones instead of just one (yes we have 2 kids! :). The moulding around the earphone jack on this cd player will not allow that adaptor to fit in properly. So you would not be able to use two sets of earphones in this manner. But if you don't need that - this is an excellent buy.
I definitely recommend this cd player - I was definitely pleasantly surprised.
