Mine is the 7792, an updated model
Pros
Does not skip while jogging.
Cons
headphones suck
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Cheap player for excellent sound and no skipping.
I've had this for about 1-1/2 years now and love it! I mainly bought it to go jogging with, and it has not let me down. With the 40 seconds of memory, it does not skip a beat as I plod along on the tarmac.
The headphones left a lot to be desired. I prefer to use my Sennheiser's instead, for both sound quality and comfort. The batteries last about 10-20 hours, never have timed it accurately. They've definitely improved these portable players over the years. I began with the first Sony portable, and it was terrible....as soon as you bumped it....skip.....skip.
With this player, there's no need to use the MP3 format. I don't have to record music over, just pop in my favorite CD and go!
