Directv R15 (120 GB) DTV Receiver / 100-Hours DVR

I received the R15 as a replacement for a failed R10 DirecTivo. The TiVo offered intuitive menu structures that were laid out in logical sequence. The R15 requires a lot of navigation to other menu areas to accomplish what should be simple tasks. The R15 remote control is awkward and due to system processing delays in many areas, commands issued to the unit often times take so long that you feel they were not registered, so you click the button again and wind up having to start over. My parents could use my TiVo; they cannot use the R15 as it is simply too complicated. Reviews all over the Internet say the same ... the R15 is awkward, difficult and is certainly a step backwards from the superior TiVo software.
