Philips DVDR3545V/37 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

I bought this DVD recorder to transfer my home movie VHS tapes to DVD.  The  Philips DVDR3545V/37 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo works great.  It took me a few times to know how to set it up correctly so I can get a good title on the DVD but once you get the hang of it, it is easy.  I like the fact that it takes more than one type of recordable DVD.  It is convenient to have both the DVD Recorder and the VHS player in one unit.  It makes it compact and is one less component to worry about.  It was easy to hook it up to the television.  I keep this unit strictly for transfering my home movies from VHS to DVD..well mine and everyone elses in the family!   This unit may be a little pricey but if you figure it costs around $25 to get one VHS transferred to DVD - it didn't take any time at all to pay for itself.  All in all a good investment.
