The Bottom Line:
For the people who just want a basic system, and at a cheap price, this is just the thing for them. If not, then try the next model up.
I've had my this mini system for a while now. The system was actually bought for me so I didn't have to spend anything on it. This system is good for one's personal use, but as for parties and stuff, it wouldn't really be recommended.
The features that I like in this system are the clear sound it produces, and you guessed it the detachable speakers. And because of the longer length speaker wire, you can put these speakers almost anywhere in your room. Right now I have an RCA cable running from my mini system to my computer, with an adapter and the speakers are on either side. And I also like the look of the display it has too.
The things that I don't particularly like in this system is the fact that it has trouble producing low frequency bass. So to all the people who like bass with their music, then this comes as a disadvantage. Even though I have not experienced the display jumping when it's not in use, I have, however, experienced that this mini system, when it's in standby mode, have the ability to take itself off standby mode and clear the clock on the display. It irritates me because I have to keep on setting the clock.
Another good thing I forgot to mention is the fact that this system can actually read and play CD-Rs and rewritable CDs just like a normal CD without any complications at all. To make sure of this I actually made an audio CD and burnt it onto a rewritable CD and played it in my system, and it did actually work just fine.
