if you need a new stereo with good sound and dont have much money, look no further!
I had been looking for my first stereo set for a month or two when i came across this philips stereo system. I liked this system the best out of its price range (150 to 200 dollars) because of its huge bass boost and great quality. The optimal sound mix creates sound that i think is typical of players twice as expensive as this set. Another great feature is the alarm clock, so you can wake up to quality music instead of that crap that comes out of your 1/2 watt alarm clock. The only problem i can think of is that when you are flipping through songs on cds it cuts off the first half a second of music. This set also looks kind of cheesy with all the orange lights, but you can use the dim controls on the unit to make them stop flashing. Both of these are very minor drawbacks for such great quality sound. The only thing that would help me enjoy this set a lot more thoroughly if it had surround speakers.
