Great system if it were 20 years ago

This system stutters, locks up, head movement feeds back through the speakers, has a horrible remote lay out, hisses through he speakers like a VCR. Certain set-up features are not retained in memory, set-up is difficult at best even with the instructions. Really, how hard should it be to set up the clock? Instructions weren't even clear if it could be done at all. That's sad. Any one of the issues I've encountered may point to a defect, but this many say bad product.
