Nice adult stereo, beautiful mirrored faced mini components, high-end look and feel. The speakers look and sound rich. I replaced an ugly black plastic Pansonic RXCT900 blackbox which is sturdy,decent tuner and hook-ups but no CD player. The Philips plays 9 DVD/CD formats, has a Sub-woofer line, but sounds good without it thanks to 5 built-in music modes. Have only played music so far. It sounds that good. The tuner will leave radio people, like myself, disappointed. The combined disc player/tuner makes for weak reception and interference from within. I solved this problem by connecting a good separate tuner which clashes with the beautiful Philips,but gives me good reception with no interference. The system really kicks! Almost two thumbs! Looks good with the lights off.
