The Bottom Line:
A good budget buy with features found on more expensive models.
The Savvy weighs in at 146g with battery. Most of the phone's functions are controlled using a four-way rocker button. The phone makes heavy use of graphical icons. Only two lines of text can be viewed simultaneously, each with only 11 characters. Despite this, finding the functions that you want is straightforward. When using the phone to call someone, the number can either be dialled in the usual fashion, or by using the excellent voice recognition feature. The Savvy DB allows you to send 'Emotion Icons' along with your SMS message, capital letters are inserted automatically at the beginning of sentences. The SMS system also has 13 pre-written texts, to help you pen quick messages. The 20 ring tones can be used with or without the vibrating alert. As well as having an analogue clock, the phone has a built-in alarm. The call performance is fair. Received calls can be a bit muffled and prone to interference. Transmitted quality is a bit better, so callers can hear what you are saying better than you will hear them.
