Philips Tivo 80 (80 GB) 80-Hours DVR

Everyone in my house loves to watch T.V. Our week nights are filled with the new reality shows, the new dramas, and game shows. In our world these days it is so hard to be able to watch it though with so much going on with school, sports, work, church activities, etc. The way we solved this problem was by buying the Phillips Tivo system. Now we don't miss anything. It can be a thursday night and one of my favorite show is on one channel and then my next favorite show is on the other. I get to watch them both.

Not only do we get to see our favorite show week in and week out but we don't have to watch the commercials. I sure do hate the commercials. Instead of wasting an hour out of my day I only spend 30 to 40 minutes watching just the show. One things all the shows loves to do is get to a suspenseful moment and then go to commercial. With tivo you don't have to watch stupid commercials to find out what will happen.

Tivo is a great thing but also has its downfall. The particular tivo that we own can only record two things at the same time. And if you are recording two things you can't watch anything else. That is where the contention happens in my family. I want to watch a ball game but my mom and little sister are recording something so I can't watch it. I imagine that there are other tivos that doesn't allow this to happen.

All in all the tivo is a great device and I recommend that all get one. You will never miss a moment.
