Not Just A CD player an MP3/CD player
THIS IS WHERE IT ALL BEGINS
About a couple years ago, When the first mp3 players came out i was shocked at the price and the limited storage capacity. That's when i started my search for the perfect device for all my cd's and mp3's. That's also about the time i found out about mp3/cd players...

Look elsewhere
Skip the Pine D?Music SM200-C. There are problems abound with this unit and they are all fixed in the new generation of MP3CD players. I bought the SM200-C because at the time it was the only player on the market that supported ID3 Tags in MP3 files ? a necessity if you are going to be scrolling... Read full review »
Alpine? No, Al, just Pine: CD/MP3 Player
This is a comparison between Expanium and D'music. I think you have to look at these two products if you are going to make an informed buying decision.
Before I bought my Philips Expanium CD/MP3 player, I looked into this little known brand. At $190 it is essentially the same price as the...

You get what you pay for.
The SM200C+ is a decent MP3 and the price is right, but there are some problems with it. First off, the player sometimes has trouble playing burned CD's. It comes with a disc of MP3's included, but these stink for the most part. If you burn your own CD of mp3s, don't be too surprised when you get... Read full review »
Decent 1st-generation model, but now outdated
The Pine D'Music SM200C MP3 CD player was one of the first models of its kind to come out. Now, a few years later, it is still a serviceable unit but it has been surpassed by other models such as SonicBlue's Rio Volt.
Using the player

Not a shabby mp3 player.
I got this mp3 player a few years back for christmas and thought it was the greatest thing..who wouldn't? You get all the music you can possibly want out of 10 CDs. The player itself (if you buy it in a store) comes with a lot of features (headphones, ac adapter, etc.) The anti-skip protection was... Read full review »
Could be better...
I was looking for an inexpensive MP3/CD player to play my collection of Mp3 Cd's. I have spent a lot of time ripping my complete music CD collection into Variable bit rate MP3's.
Radio Shack had a sale on these, along with a couple of bonus items, so I bit. I also bought some adapters to play...

An inexpensive MP3/CD player
I picked up one for my Christmas present last year. I was quite impressed with ability to use recorded MP3 Cd?s that I had burned myself, and also to play regular cd's too. It would have been nice if it had a better anti-shock capability. Both the MP3 and CD is a little too short. It comes with a... Read full review »
Looks good on paper
I bought a Phillips Expanium, but returned it so I could get this. It was a mistake. I liked the fact I could see the song names instead of just a number on the LCD of the Expanium. At first I was disapointed because I typically use the file name to describe my songs, not the ID3 tags. Therefore... Read full review »
