You get what you pay for.

Pros It's cheap, the capacity is nice, and it has a built-in battery charger.
Cons The anti-shock for regular audio CD's is atrocious.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Well, it was only 100$ CDN, and it's served me well. I like it, even if there are some pretty major problems.
The SM200C+ is a decent MP3 and the price is right, but there are some problems with it. First off, the player sometimes has trouble playing burned CD's. It comes with a disc of MP3's included, but these stink for the most part. If you burn your own CD of mp3s, don't be too surprised when you get Disc Errors. In addition, the anti-skip when playing audio CD's is abysmal. the packaging says 50 seconds, but i was lucky to get 10-15 most times. When listening to Mp3s though, the anti-skip seems to work flawlessly, and my hand got tired trying to shake it and make it skip before I heard any jitters. The directory system didn't seem to work for me, and navigating through 100 mp3s screams for a jog wheel, but alas, there is none. A pleasant surprise is ID3 support, which gives you the title and artist of your songs. The player comes with some handy software for ripping and burning CD's, and the fact that you can carry 200 songs in your pocket is worth an easy 100$ CDN alone. If you have a lot of mp3s, and want to be able to carry them all around with you, this is a functional and cheap solution. Just be ready to deal with some problems along the way.
