Terrible Software and Navigation Support
I purchased this unit for my flower shops delivery drivers. It is an in-dash navigation system, which claims to be xm-traffic and xm-radio ready. Pioneer AVIC N2 is very user friendly. It has easy set up and equally easy navigation system. the voice quality is crisp. However, it is not very customizable but still is easy to use. the visual display is also good and has good vision angle. It also has good connectivity with iPod too. Read full review »
A Blessing For The Directional Challenged
Okay, I don't have one of these yet, but my best friend had one. It is so awesome. I am directionally challenged so this is the best thing I have seen in a while. Designed for installation into your car, Pioneer AVIC-N2 Multi-Function Navigation System includes a touch-screen for navigation as well as a DVD and CD player along with an AM/FM radio with optional XM capability. The AVIC-N2 provides accurate detailed route guidance for the entire United States and Canada including Alaska and Hawaii. Within seconds, the system's extremely fast processor calculates multiple routes and provides directions to any destination via electronic map and voice prompts. Powered by TeleAtlas mapping, the system uses a massive 12-million points of interest (POI) database with more than 248 different categories so consumers can search for the nearest gas station, ATM or restaurant. As users are guided along their route, points of interest are overlaid onto the map, which is particularly helpful when driving in unfamiliar areas.
