Small size, tiny remote, very adaptable, CD-TEXT, skip-free
Cons

Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Perfect for the user with a medium to low budget and interested in CD-TEXT. That is one of its main features.
Pioneer has been around for a while in the car audio industry. That is the number one reason I chose to go with them. The second reason is that the CDX-FM657 is packed with so many features for such a good price.
I'll simply list the pros and cons in detail.
PROS:
-Small size of both the main changer and the digital display make it easy to install ANYWHERE. In my Subaru, I have the changer in the glove compartment and the display velcroed into a little drawer below the factory radio.
-Remote gives the backseat a chance to control the radio, without having control of the volume. If the display is placed in an obscure place, the remote can be setup on the car to make access more accessible.
-CD-TEXT. This is the #1 reason I chose this guy. It recognizes CD-TEXT (on such formatted CD's, it will display the disc title, artist, and individual track names...very cool.) I take advantage of this by recording CD-TEXT to my personal mixes made with my Yamaha CD-RW.
-Skip-free (or at least as of now).
CONS:
-The buttons on the main display panel are not the easiest to use.
-The brightness on the display is minimal (due to poor contrast). This makes it hard to read in bright daylight.
-The volume is not great. Even on the most powerful volume setting, it is not quite as loud as a solid radio station on the factory radio.
So far, this changer has caused me no problems. Every CD plays perfectly and most importantly, it hasn't skipped! (I'll cross my fingers on that one). I've had it since December 2000, so that's pretty good.
If you get the chance to purchase one at a good price, definitely go for it!
