Pioneer DEH-2400F Car CD Player

Someone stole my Sony Explode system from my van!! I wanted a replacement, that would at least offer many of the features I was used to! Yes...this is Pioneers cheapest CD player, yes it is not state of the art. But ..I am happy!!

Installing

Installation is a breeze due to the well thought out directions and plug adapter, eliminating the twisting wires and black tape of the old days!! I used a car stereo install kit from Circuit City which had all the needed plastic forms to complete a Pro install!

Features

The DEH has a line out, so you can install an outboard amp for woofers or more speakers. This deck also plays CDs I burn in my PC, which was a big deal to me!! Tuner works well, the EQ options and EQ Presets offer a large variety of "instant" changes for music which may be EQ'd differently.

Removable Face? Use them!!

I am afraid to say my Sony is gone because I did not remove the faceplate after leaving my vehicle. The DEH has a removable faceplate, but you have to find a case for it....I had a Sony Case which worked just fine!!

Overview

This is an entry level player with plenty of features for most car stereo users. The discriminating audiophile will have a list of complaints, mostly due to features and sound quality, but this little player suits me fine!! With the Pre-outs, you can add some woofer or more speakers as you choose (I have a 300 watter and some Rockfords going!!). Easy installation, good sound output, plenty of features and CDR ability make this deck a winner in my book!!
