The Bottom Line:
It's true, ya get what ya pay for in the car audio world.
Pioneer makes quality CD car stereo products at reasonable prices. This stereo is the 2002 model, but the internal components are said to be similar to the DEH 2400. However, it didn't sonnd like it when I compared the two--the 3400 sounded marginally better. The buttons were pretty small and the text on or near the buttons was impossible to read unless I took my eyes off the road for longer than I would have liked. Make sure you remove the face-plate every time you leave the car. My stereo was stolen because I became complacent.
If you can get this stereo in the low $100 price range, it's a great buy.
