Great mix of value and features

I finally got sick and tired of my Toyota factory radio and the stupid portable-cd player-hooked-into-the-tape-deck trick. This CD player had enough value and features to make it worth spending the bucks.
I have had the stereo for about 6 months. My partner has a Pontiac factory CD player and I drive his car often.
Sound quality
I'm not a major audiophile, but the stereo sounds good with my factory speakers. The player has NEVER skipped on me and I drive on dirt roads all the time (in my Corolla no less) . It has a minor graphic equalizer that lets you customize the settings, along with five other equalizer curve settings: powerful (high bass), natural, vocal, EQ Flat, and super bass (extreme bass). I usually set it on Powerful. With my speakers, the super bass sounds too muffled. My partner is an audiophile, and he thinks it sounds excellent.
Features:
I like the fact that it supports a multi-CD player. Here is a trick, if you want to quickly mute the sound, and don't have a multi-CD player installed, switch the source to it, for a quick muting of the sound.
It does have a detachable faceplate, but I'm lazy and don't remove it unless I am in a big city.
The cd playing features are standard: random, repeat, scan, pause, disk title input.
I have not used the Multi-Cd functions, but according to the manual it allows, repeat, random, scan, pause, instant track selection, disc title list
Controls.
Very intuitive for the basic controls, the advanced controls have a larger learning curve (I keep the manual in the car). I can easily select CD tracks, program and change stations. It allows you to program the CD player so the name shows up, which is nice when you switch from FM to CD so that you know what you are listening to or answer the question: What did I do with that CD??
Display:
Needs some work, it is difficult to read in sunlight.
Overall, I am very please with my investment. The cd plays great, it is easy to use. I just can't always see the station I am listening too when there is bright sunlight. I think you will be happy as well
