Great car head unit with MP3 and WMA support
I'll admit that I'm not an audio expert of any kind. But the P5500MP worked out great for my needs.

PROBLEMS with operating buttons - BIG TIME

Excellent mid-range unit!
I've always loved Pioneer head-unit ever since I got an old 3000-DEH series (I believe that's what it is) about 4 years ago. I out about the 5500MP recently and loved the way the display looks. Stolen face place -- Don't buy it if you're in San Jose, CA
My car was broken into while parked at my work parking space and ONLY the face plate stolen. The storage box wasn't stolen. Location is Brokaw and 880 freeway.

Totally Awesome Unit!
The Pioneer DEH-P5500MP has a simple, rich classic look to it, not an abundance of flashing displays, rich, bright, and easy to look at. I don't agree with halon that the display is too bright. I think it's perfect and you can connect it in a way it dims at night.
