Good ol' Pioneer quality.
Pros
Great features and sound.
Cons
May be mildly confusing if not familiar with Pioneer.

The Bottom Line:
Unbeatable for the price, and plenty of RCA outlets for amps.
I bought the DEH-P650 (Pioneer Premier version) to power my Infinity Kappa 42.5i's and Pioneer TS-D690R's in my '89 Grand Marquis. The installation was simple, and minimal wire-stripping was needed on my part. Once installed, this unit really puts out; the numerous EQ options (as well as EQ-EX, which provides sound body lost by EQ curves) make the sound shimmer, and Loudness control makes for excellent sound quality at any sensible volume (sensible meaning the lower 90% of available volume). Sound-focus EQ is also a rather neat feature, though I wouldn't call it a necessity; the stereo performs just fine without it. The CD player has only skipped for me once, and it was my fault for not seeing the canyon =) I rarely-if-ever use the radio, though when I did try it out, the reception came in clear, and there are more than enough channels to save all your favorites to, if not every receptible station in your area. The buttons are rather smallish, and fingernails can get in the way from time to time, but it's nothing that can't be lived with. The removable face-plate is a nice feature, too, though it is occasionally a little tricky to put back on--again, nothing serious. And, last but not least, allow me to rave about the Organic Electro-Luminescence Display. It's terrific! More fun cannot be had from the passenger seat without the aid of mind-altering chemicals or other such stimulants! There are a number of neat choices and modes to chose from (my personal favorite being the dial-style VU meters). Another handy little feature is an obvious pause button, the likes of which are scant in today's models. But you can't go wrong with this purchase.
