Hey all!! I am a shop owner and installer down here in arizona. After installing about 200 of these by now i must say its one of my best sellers. Its loaded with tons of features and doesnt cost much.
ill list its features and what they mean
Flap Face: this means that the face folds down when you put in a cd.
Detachable Face: the face comes off so those lovely theives keep their hands off of your radio.
Pop-up Rotary Volume Control: the volume knob rotates and can be pushed in or out.
24-Station/6-Button (18FM / 6AM) Presets: this is how many radio stations you can program.
BSM (Best Station Memory: this will automatically select the strongest signal.
AGC (Automatic Gain Control): this lets you make say the radio louder than the cd.
CD Text: this lets you program a name to your cds.
Track Scan: this lets you play the first few seconds of each song.
Pause: this is self explanitory.
Repeat: same as above.
Random Play: also same as above/
Playback Compatible with Digital Audio CD-R (when disc is finalized): if you like to make your own cds this means that it will play them, some units dont.
CD-R/CD-W Skip Function
MOSFET 50x4 - 4-Channel High Power: this is the amount of power it puts out, ive found the pioneers are one of the better sounding decks for powering speakers.
Sub-Out LPF (50/80/125Hz, -18dB/Oct.): this is a built in crossover which means it only lets certain sounds go to your sub.
HPF Crossover: this is a highpass crossover it only lets so much bass go to the mids.
Sub-Out Level (-12dB to +12dB) and Phase Control: this lets you turn the sub up and down from the head unit and also lets you reverse the phase.
EEQ Performance Chip: this is part of the eq system it has.
3-Band Parametric Equalizer: this lets you adjust 3 bands of sound.
Easy EQ (EEQ) switches 5 Factory, 2 User EQ Presets (Super Bass, Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Flat, Custom): this is great for people who dont know much about adjusting all you do is press the eq button and it will switch around.
Source Custom EQ Memory (Independent Custom Memory for each source): this means if you set the eq a certain way for the radio when you play a cd you can adjust it a diff way and it will remember that.
Selectable Loudness Control (Low/Mid/High/Off): you can boost the bass and highs with this feature.
SFEQ (Sound Focus EQ): this lets to adjust where the sound images.
Additional Independent Bass / Treble Control for Front / Rear: now this is an awesome feature it lets you adjust the front speakers independelty from the rear.
IP-Bus System Control: this lets you control any ip-bus product from pioneer.
6 & 12 Disc Multi-CD Players: this deck will control either a pioneer 6 or 12 disc changer.
XM Ready: aahh XM Sat Radio, this is a new satalite radio system that will be out with in the month, youll get 100 digital cd quality radio stations, STATIC FREE!!! .
Voice Commander (CD-VC60): pioneer makes a product that will let you tell it what to do with words.
Disc Title Memory (48 Discs): this unit will remember 48 cd names that you program.
10-Character Display for Disc Title Memory & CD Text (MCD): this is how many letters it will hold per name.
Full-Function Slim Remote: the remote can do anything the face can.
Selectable Fader Control: you can fade from front to back.
Hi-Volt RCA Preouts (x3 pair) (Front/Rear + Subwoofer or Non-Fading) (4V): now this is nice its 4 volt the avg head unit is only 1.8 pre out voltage. you have the outputs to run 3 amps here.
Spectrum Analyzer: this shows you your music in a cool light display.
Automatic Sound Levelizer: this is a feature that will make everything level if you like.
Cellular Mute: this is an input for a cell phone module.
