The best i could find
Although Pioneer is not the BEST for car audio, i do feel that this is the best sub $400 head unit out there. This is making the assumption that one does not plan on getting an amp or making significant upgrades beyond component speakers.

Top shelf unit
This Pioneer unit does everything, I mean everything. From variable crossovers on all channels (inc sub), to screaming it's head off as an alarm if you set it up to do so. The whole face comes off, after it's finished beeping at you and automatically slides down. You can turn the reminder off... Read full review »
Pioneer.... I'm impressed
I grew up with Clarion, Sony, Rockford, Blaupunkt and all of them in its heyday. Back in "my time" Pioneer was nothing more than junk.
