The best i could find

The Bottom Line:
If you are looking to upgrade the head unit on your car, this is the one to buy!
Although Pioneer is not the BEST for car audio, i do feel that this is the best sub $400 head unit out there. This is making the assumption that one does not plan on getting an amp or making significant upgrades beyond component speakers.
I recently did major upgrades to my car, and improving the head unit was one of them. I had seen this head unit in my friends' car, and i had to have it.
The visuals are awesome, and you can even load custom pictures. The control panel is very clean compared to it's predecessor the DEH-7300. The buttons are nicely made, and the two dial interface creates a very uncluttered face.
My speakers sound much better without even changing them. They seem to hit the lows a bit better, and the highs are a bit more crisp. After I changed the component speakers everything sounded great!
There are so many sound options for the EQ. There are many different settings from vocal to more bassy. There is even a way to customize your own EQ setting.
The money was well worth it on this head unit. You can read on the other electronics products that I have reviewed and you can see that I like to spend a bit more money on gizmos and gadgets.
If you plan on just upgrading the head unit to your car stereo I would recommend this head unit very much. Although I am not a car audio guru, I do know that this is an awesome head unit for form and function. However, I know of people who have used this head unit as a foundation to create some monster systems and have been successful at doing so.
