I have a new 2000 Pontiac Sunfire which I purchased not too long ago. The dealer was to upgrade the regular factory equipped AM/FM stereo to one with a cassette. However, they were running a bit low, so they purchased this Pioneer stereo instead. Let me say that the quality of the audio is very good and I am very happy with this stereo.
It seems capable of hitting all frequencies with adequate response including some of the lower bass ones. If you are an extreme audiophile looking for the best in automotive stereo equipment I would recommend looking at some of the better models. However, with the quality of sound this thing puts out and the name Pioneer stamped on front, you can't go wrong for the money.
