Still figuring it all out

The Bottom Line:
Hard to recommend due flaw out of the package and the trouble I am having with programming. Seems straight forward but just doesn't work. Needs improvement - but great concept!
We received this as a gift from a friend. Bought it in one of those shopping clubs where she got one for us and her at a deal. Before we could fill it we had to send it off to be serviced. They had to re-solder a connection. Just kept spinning and never went to the selection. Warranty paid for all but shipping to the repair store.
After we got it back I started filling it and quickly realized that once the discs are in there you have no way of identifying what is where. Other than "slot 185", there is no programmable title, album set up. What I did works pretty well. I set up microsoft word document (you could do the same thing in excel) call CD inventory. Alphabetically by artist it gives you the slot #/Artist/Album. I also made a column for whether it is an original or a copy because now I burn whatever I want to take on the go so I always have my originals in good shape. When I get a new CD I just insert a line where it belongs alphabetically, assign it's slot # and pop it in the changer.
Only major problem so far is that I haven't gotten the programmable part to work yet. Tried to set up like an "oldies" program for my girlfriend so she doesn't have to go from the Carpenters to Aerosmith. Didn't take. If I can't figure it out I will have to call the company.
