My family LOVES this unit!
Pros
Compact, bigger screen, tough and can take abuse.
Cons
It costs more than other DVD units.

We did a lot of research before we decided on which portable DVD unit to buy and most of the opinions and reviews pointed to the Pioneer PDV-LC10.
We live in Italy so we had to buy the unit through the United Kingdom so that it would translate region one discs. Unfortunately, from the exchange rate point-of-view between the pound sterling and the dollar, we paid a lot more than we would have in the United States.
But the unit is absolutely worth it! We have carted it around with us everywhere and it has not only withstood the battering that our three kids have given it but it has continued to deliver a crisp clear picture with flawless surround sound. We love it!
I happened to notice that this is also the standard issue to business and first class passengers on American Airlines international flights, so there is another strong vote for the validity of this product!
Look around, read the reviews, and take into consideration my family's strong opinion that this unit is well worth the high price to own it!
