Pioneer TS-SW2541D 10" Car Subwoofer

Used these as part of a total system upgrade on my 07 Nissan Frontier. I put the tweeters ( with custom brackets and crossovers)in the dash and the 5 1/4" drivers in the front doors ( with adapters to fill the 6x9 hole). You definitely need a amp to drive these speakers to get decent sound out of them. Once you do though, they are impressive! Highs and mids are outstanding but ( to no real surprise) mid bass is lacking. In addition the dash tweeters , while clear and smooth, can dominate the sound stage if the fader is not favored towards the rear speakers and wired in the -3db position. I'm very pleased with the speakers for my tastes( I listed to folk, country, acoustic mostly) but if I had to do it again, I would likely try to stuff the 6010 /6.5" drivers in the doors to get a "fuller sound" on the lower frequencies.
