The Bottom Line:
This is a good buy to have a very good sounding mp3 player without going broke.
Well I just had this mp3 player for about 3 weeks now and it is a very good mp3 player. At first I was disappointed because when I first turned it on, it sounded bad. After adjusting all the levels, it sounded great. There are so many ways to tweak the sound that I suggest at first going through the readers manual to guide you.
This unit has a built in compressor so that all of your mp3 or wma files can have the same volume level. It also have a BMX feature that adds fullness to your mp3 or wma files. and it has a dynamic bass emphasis to boost up bass levels. there is three different loudness settings that boost the bass levels but don't fade out like some other radios. it also have five preset eq levels and two customs ones you can store. It also features a front image enhancer that will cut mid and high range frequency output from the rear speakers.
The mp3 CDs load up quick and display name of songs(ID3 Tag support). The quality of sound between regular CDs and mp3 was Unnoticeable. Anyone who doesn't own a mp3 player is missing out. I can put 8 whole CDs on 1 disc and carry a few CDs compare to a CD case full of CDs.
Other Feature include Super Tuner 3 to get your local radio stations clear and it supports XM radio but you will need to get a tuner and an antenna with monthly prescription. It also as the ability to control an external cd or dvd changer.
The only drawbacks are it doesn't come with a carrying case for your face. Well I just took my old carrying case from my old radio and it was ok. Then you have to buy a extra piece to have audio inputs. The remote only works when you have it directly in front of the radio.
This a good deck overall. It might not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive decks but it will satisfy anyone wanting an inexpensive mp3 and wma player.
