Bang for the Buck, Excellent Head Unit
Pros
Pioneer quality, FM reception, clean interface, lights are not distracting, wireless remote.
Cons
Won't recognize some of my CD's I burnt.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Great price, great features, great brand. Definitely consider this stereo heavily in your decision process.
Put it into my Civic a couple weeks ago, the interface is excellent and does not feel cluttered with buttons. Low and high pass filters are a great feature and I love the auxiliary input, allowing me to use my MP3 player without having to pay the extra 100 dollars for the special iPod add-on.
MP3/CD playback is excellent and gives you the options of setting what you want it to display, i.e. Title, File name, Artist, Album, Folder, etc. But I wish it gave the option to show the Title AND Artist, maybe it's there but I haven't found it yet...
FM radio plays very clearly, reception is excellent in all areas of my metroplex, unlike my old deck which in some parts of the city had static.
The wireless remote is very nifty and allows other passengers in the car to pick what they want.
Detachable faceplate is another great feature, although that is practically standard in all the latest head units. The display screen is large and easy on the eyes.
One problem I have had is getting it to recognize some of the CD's I've been burning, it could be the software I'm using, or an error with the player.
