The Bottom Line:
After owning 5 different Pioneer heads, I will not buy any more. I am switching to a better brand like Kenwood Excelon or Alpine.
OK...I will have to be the voice of reason here. I admit the deck looks good. It has so many features that you may never use them all. It has three sets of outputs and is amazing to watch. On the other hand...there is so much dialing and tweaking that must be done that it is hard to get a sound that is universal so I spent all my time tinkering and not listening to it. I never was really happy with the sound. After having the deck a year the front RCA outs fizzled out. The head unit developed system noise to the rear outs and some disc didn't eject all the way. I removed it from my truck and put it in my wife's car which only uses two sets of outputs and it is fine...for the most part. Still has a hard time ejecting some discs. Would I recommend Pioneer to anyone else? No. This unit is OK if you only plan on using it for a year. Certainly not worth the retail price on it though. By the way, to discourage any nay-sayers, I have been installing stereos for 20 years and this was installed in a competition truck...It just no longer packed the gear to serve in my beloved truck. Hey, at least its not a Sony!
