I was in the market for almost 9 months looking for an RPTV that would satisfy my caviar taste and beer budget, and figured that I would end up with a Hitachi, but always really wanted a Pioneer. Pioneers always had a reputation in the business of being high-quality reliable sets that looked great right out of the box. I read in one of the HDTV forums that WalMart.com had an incredible price on the Pioneer SD533-HD5, and I didn't wait very long before I ordered one. The delivery took almost 2 weeks, but the wait was worth it! With four separate inputs, connecting an HDTV cable box, a DVD player, an HDTV OTA tuner and a VCR was no problem. The picture looked great out of the box when the "reference theater" mode was selected, and has continued to subtly improve in the two months since purchase. The color quality is excellent, with no evidence of red-push, and the picture is quite bright and punchy without taking on the 'comic-book' quality that I have seen in some RPTV. Very Satisfied!
