Not happy with my Pioneer SD-533HD5
Pros
At he time I purchased this television it was highly rated.
Cons
Now, 3 1/2 years later is worth absolutely nothing.A waste of my hard earned money.
Recommended it?
No
I purchased the above rear projection television from Best
Buy in November, 2001 (3 1/2 years ago). I did not purchase
the extended warranty because I figured paying $2,999.00 for a television would in itself guarantee that I had purchased a reliable product. WRONG!!! I am now faced with an inoperable television (two boards have gone out)as well as an estimated cost to repair that T.V. of $858.00.
The Best Buy Service Tech has even suggested that it would
be better to just get a new T.V. rather than repairing the
one sitting in my home. Easy for him to say, he wasn't the
one who paid $2,999.00 for the television. That would mean that I have invested $1,000.00 per year for simply watching
t.v.
