Pioneer SD-533HD5 53 in. HDTV CRT TV

TV purchased Nov 2001 and have had problems. Mainly, a fuse (4A 125V) continually blows. Noticed when the power would come on briefly and then shut off. I have since learned how to replace the fuse (now under 10 minutes start to finish). I called Pioneer and they said there are no documented cases like this and suggested to replace a convergance amplifier (p/n STK-392-180). The most interesting thing to me is that many of you have had similar problems, yet Pioneer says they don't know anything about them. I stand with you when we say that Pioneer does not stand behind their products. They obviously did not tell me the truth regarding the situation. Authorized repair service wants $212 just to come to the house before any work is done. I will avoid pioneer products.
