Pitiful Pioneer Product
Pros
Was great during the 'honeymoon" period.
Cons
Won't work, can't be fixed, cost so much money I feel like I was robbed.

When I purchased My Pioneer SD-533HD5 53 in. HDTV I was excited about the picture quality, especially on my DVDs.
That was in 2003. Now I could not be more frustrated! This TV has been repaired FOUR times in six months by a Pioneer certified technician. The TV just shuts itself off as soon as it turns on. Each "fix" has lasted 3-5 days. Even the technician is disgusted. He has replaced every single circuit board. Pioneer has been no help. They send him the new "fix" which fixes nothing. I have paid $775.00 in repairs. Each time the TV has been in the shop 3-5 weeks. This is unbelievable. I am old enough to say with experience, that I have never owned a TV that I had to get rid of because it did not work.
