This is home theater!!
Pros
Picture is as good as the Elite verson of this TV

54 buttons on the remote is overkill.

Getting this massive baby in the house was half the battle. I hooked it up to my Parasound system. Therefore I can't say anything about it's internal sound.
The first thing I did was hook up my DVD player to the component video input. Put in Video Essentials. Made the adjustments for 1.78:1(16x9).
Then put in A Bugs life. What better way to see the quality of the picture, then with a computer generated picture. I could not believe it.
The picture jumped out at us. Brite and sharp. Could not detect any distortion. Seen images in the movie that I had not seen before. My two kids also were amazed.(age 13 & 10)
For TV viewing I have Dish network. I have the TV set to auto size. It does distort the picture. It stretches it to fit the whole screen. Sometimes the picture changes size. When it goes to a commercial. Setting it to natural wide would cure this. The stretched picture is ok when you get used to it. On some stations I do get line distortion. As it converts from NTSC to 480P(progressive display).
If you have the money. Then this baby is for you. You can't go wrong. 7" CRT's, first surface mirror and .52mm screen.
I don't use the protective screen. Way to much reflections from the room. It does add to the picture quality. However. It does not add enough to the picture quality. Try it both ways.
