Pioneer TS-W257D4 10" Car Subwoofer

I bought this Pioneer subwoofer at a wholesale outlet and I purchased this specific one because it was one of the cheapest subwoofers there at about 60 dollars. I was expecting it to be a cheap, basic entry-level subwoofer. This subwoofer is exactly the opposite of what I thought. I received a truly amazing subwoofer. I hooked this up to an amp that can make 500 watts RMS, 150 more watts than this sub is rated for. I couldn't believe the clarity of the subwoofer. There was no terrible pounding noise, just clean bass. Even when I turned the amplifier up all the way, it still kept pushing clear bass for the sound level, but I could tell that it wouldn't be able to handle that much for a long period of time. I chose a 10" subwoofer because it is easier to mount in a smaller box for a smaller trunk (for example: a mustang). This subwoofer can be put in a box with as little as 0.60 cubic feet of air, and that's one small box. Inside the trunk, it keeps a low profile and doesn't attract much attention, which can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. This Pioneer subwoofer really pleased me and I have kept it much longer than I had been planning on. Pioneer makes quality subwoofers, and this is no exception. It is much better than their larger 12 and 15 inch subwoofers because this has no "boomy" sound or distortion to it. This makes it a perfect subwoofer for those audiophiles who just want a little more "oomph" in their stock or modified audio system.
