Great receiver for the cost.
Pros
Sound quality is good and it is a reliable product.
Cons
A very week FM signal.Surround Sound is also week.

The Bottom Line:
I would say that this is a good starter receiver for the $$$.
I purchased the VSX-D307 receiver about 4 years ago at a Costco here in Canada. It still works pretty good except the volume has a tendency to crackle when it is turned down low.
I also use Pioneer S-H552F-K tower speakers, a lower end speaker but Still overall good quality with clear highs, and full bass. This receiver does have a nice look to it and adds compliment to the rest of my stereo components within the cabinet.
The only setback with this purchase was the poor quality of antenna provided.
This Receiver does come with a large number of input and output for other devices. Up to 5 in total!!
Though the subwoofer is a pre-out , you can always hook up another .
