I couldn't believe the quality of this receiver for its price. The Pro Logic II inclusion was especially surprising when I bought it about a year ago when the technology was first becoming main stream. The proprietary surround modes (Advance Surround), I feel, are actually superior to the PLII in many cases. The Music setting in the AS gives more base response and surround effect than any of the PLII settings. The AS also has a 5 channel stereo setting that I thought was only in Onkyo models.
This is the perfect receiver for the audiophile on a small budget.
Dislikes (While few and almost inconsequential given the price)
-Only one subwoofer out
-Remote while inclusive for the features of the receiver can not be set to control components outside of a Pioneer DVD player and the receiver itself (Many remotes is a simple reality of the territory anyway)
