One of the best value receivers!
This is a 5.1 dts/dolby digital receiver that I bought to supplement my DVD player. First, even though the front of this receiver looks simple-- there's two rows of buttons and two dials-- this receiver is far more functional that it looks. E.g. You can adjust the volume to each individual channel,... Read full review »
I wouldn't quite say "false advertising", but...
The first problem I have with Pioneer over this model, is their blatant over-stating of the output power on the front panel. I am qualified in electronics, and explain here:
This underpowered little amplifier has "overloaded" six times on me in the last fifteen minutes. Just for...

Pioneer VSXD510. DTS at a cheap price.
Like the most of the other people who have bought this AV receiver, I am going to recommend it. It is definitely an entry level receiver by the standards which are around today, but for the average person it has more than enough functions to be perfect for almost all situations.

Very nice receiver with a small price tag.
I bought this receiver nearly a year ago to replace a weak 70 w/channel Aiwa. It did have more audio and video hookups, but the sound quality was second rate. I haven?t had the chance to connect some large speakers to it. I'm thinking of doing that sometime to test the real loudness of this... Read full review »
Pioneer VSX-D510 - Great Entry Level Receiver
The Pioneer VSX-D510 receiver is one of the many receiver targeted to entry-level duties. Now, this is not a hi-fi system by a true audiophiles definition, but it superior to a "home theater in a box" receiver in almost every way.
Here are the amp specs:
Stereo: 100 watts RMS per channel...

Want a good DTS and DD receiver for little money?
I purchased this model after looking at several. The signal to noise ratio is excellent on this receiver. You will not find a bunch of static coming through your speakers with this one, unlike several higher or equally priced models. The unit is fairly light compared to my RCA receiver, and it... Good, but could be a lot better
This receiver offers excellent dolby digital and dts sound for the price. I was very pleased when I put in Gladiator with its dts sound. The remote is supposed to be universal but I could not get it to work correctly with any of my other theater components. The other thing I dislike about it is it... Read full review »
