Planar PM-9

I use my Monsoon PlanarMedia 9 Speakers as my speakers for my laptop and they are nothing short of sensational. When you first look at them your awed my thier design and flat panel design, but then you think to yourself, will they sound good, will they be loud enough? And the answer to both those questions is a resounding yes, the PlanarMedia 9 Speakers are without a doubt THE best sounding desktop speakers I have heard, and I've heard many. The clarity of the sound is always at a consistent high level whatever the volume. And yes these speakers can get loud and the sound quality doesn't suffer. Another great thing is the included subwoofer, which is great as well, because it produces outstanding bass. When the volume is turned up, I can feel my desk and walls shaking from the bass.

Another great feature of the PM9's is the remote control unit that you can place on your desktop and from which you can control the volume and bass level of the speakers. You can also mute the speakers from a button on this remote control, which is small and will fit anywhere easily.

The only problem I have with the PM9's is that sometimes because of the directional technology that they use, there's a sweet spot that is quite small, and once you get farther away from the speakers, the awesomeness of the sound decreases somewhat.
