Killer sound for just a little money
Pros
Great sound, reliability, inexpensive
Cons
Can't "lock" buttons off
Recommended it?
Yes
I was constantly borrowing my son's Sony to play CDs while taking the train in to work. Finally deciding to get one of my own, I didn't want an expensive CD player. (Work downtown, not worth getting mugged over..)
I plunked down twenty bucks at Walmart for this CD player and could not be more pleased. The headphones are not uberstylish, but there is very little distortion, even when you decide to crank it up. Turn on the Bass boost, and leave it there, because it really adds a nice richness.
Had this CD player for over a year now, and had absolutely no problems with it. Suggested improvements: a "lock" that would enable me to put it in my purse without fearing that the buttons will get pushed, inadvertently turning it on.
But, hey, for 20.00, it was worth every penny. Reliable, great sound, and you can still pay the rent on time.
