Excellent burner!
Pros
VariRec, Powerburn, burn quality and at a purchase price of $24.95 (New-OEM).
Cons
CD tray is slow, loose & weak & not sturdy comparing to other drives.

I have used quite a few different name brand burners in the past and I must confess that this is the best by far, especially with the affordability of the drives being produced without sacrificing its quality. The drive operates pretty smooth and quiet and with little or no vibration even at high speeds. My main use is for music mastering and archiving. So far, every disc recorded has come out more than perfect. In addition to the best medias, I also have a bunch of cheap media left (bulk spindle) which I have the opportunity to adjust the laser intensity (VariRec) level to suit the different disc qualities which produces perfect results, so I no longer worry about cheaper media in this avenue (maybe except for long term archive). I can truly attest that this is the best burner in the market, for the novice and professional, it is worth every dollar spent!
