What!? What happened to my picture?

Pros Looks cool and pretty fun to play with.
Cons Picture quality isn't very good, film is expensive.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I would only recommend this to people who can't afford to have digital camera but can afford to buy a JoyCam and the expensive film.
Price of JoyCam:

The Joycam was pretty cheap. I paid $36 for it and there was a mail in rebate for $12.01 so I only really spent $24 on it. My check took a little while though. But that was expected.

Film and Picture Quality:

The film costs way too much. Ranging from 13.99 to 9.99 for a single pack of film that only has 10 shots is pretty expensive. Considering the cost of film you would think that the pictures should be pretty good quality but since this is a Polaroid, you can't expect too much. However the pictures don't always come out right or even close to right. My first 3 photos did not come out at all. The first 2 were completely white, and the third photo was completely black. That means I wasted 3 pictures and since I paid 10 bucks for it I lost an equivalent of 3 dollars!

The size of the pictures is pretty small, about 4 by 3. Unfortunately you can't fit this into a wallet nor can you easily find a frame that you can put the picture into.

The camera must be at least 3 feet away from the target so you can have a clear picture. Anything closer becomes blurry. And when you take out the picture you must be very careful not to bend the picture or else the color will become messed up. I think it's because of the fluids underneath that form the picture become distorted so that the color also become a little distorted. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Size:

The Joycam looks pretty cool with its futuristic look and style, but it is also pretty big. Actually it is a lot bigger than I thought but it is pretty light so it isn't very bulky. I have no idea how anyone can put this camera into a pocket. Either you have really huge pockets or my pockets must be really small. One time I put it in my backpack. Because of the close quarters I accidentally took a picture of the inside of my bag.

Battery:

It did not occur to me until I bought film that the battery was located on the film. The battery is pretty good and should last long enough for you to take all 10 pictures. Since the battery is on the film I had no choice but to rate the battery life as terrible. At least you don't need to spend money on batteries...

Customer Service:

The customer service is excellent. The person I talked to was nice and polite. I told them about the 3 pictures I took that would not come out and they sent me a coupon for a free pack of film. The coupon came a few days later too.

Overall:

Other than the fact that the pictures were expensive and the quality was mediocre, this is a pretty decent camera. I had a lot of fun with it on trips and parties. It is easy to use, so even a little kid can use it.
