The Polaroid One Step Express camera has its good points and bad points. I purchased two of these cameras for a Coca-Cola photo shoot because of the need for instant pictures that we could put into Coca-Cola cards for people in a mall at Christmas time.
The camera's good points are that the picture is instant and develops within two minutes. There is your instant gratification. It is fun and easy to use as well. The film loading is a breeze. The pictures pop out and do not have to be peeled as you used to have to do with old Polaroids. The camera is also easy to hold and has a button that makes the picture with flash and another button that makes your picture without flash. There are no batteries to replace because each package of film carries its own batteries for those 10 shots. This is pretty cool. I hate running low on batteries and purchasing them again and again. The camera also comes with a carrying case with a strap. Nice little extra.
The camera's bad points are actually pretty important. The picture that you get from them really is not good. It is not very clear, it is grainy, there is no zoom so what you point at is what you get, the lighting is terrible, and if you even move a milla-inch your photo is totally blurry. It does not work well with flouresant (mall lighting). I was very unhappy with the quality of the photos. Also, the price of the film is horrendous. I believe for every 10 shots I paid $12.
This camera now sits in my closet and will not be used again. Although I am considering letting my kids have it for a toy. Kids really get a kick out of the instant photos and they don't care how it turns out. Overall, not a good product. I would not recommend that anyone buy it.
God Bless!
