Very flimsy, expensive and Polaroid doesn't stand behind it!
Pros
8" Swivel screen, remote, good picture.
Cons
Very flimsy, stopped working after 25-30 uses. Polaroid will not stand behind product.

The Bottom Line:
This is a poorly made product! Combined with Polaroids absolute indifference toward customer satisfaction, this is a BAD buy! I REPEAT, DON'T BUY THIS UNIT!
I initially paid $250 with a $50 rebate. The unit worked fine during the initial 90 day period, however, I really didn't use the product but maybe 8-10 times during that time period. I purchased the unit in mid-December, '04, mainly for the up-coming summer travel season. Rotating screen was the main reason for the purchase. It worked well at first, especially on the small drop-down tables during airline travel, unfortunately, I feel the swivel screen may have well been the reason for it's demise (too many moving parts). The sound sucked from the start, very tinny and volume far too low to hear except in the most quiet of environments. Bottom line is, within 7 months of purchase, after maybe 25 - 30 uses, the screen went dark, never to operate again. Called Polaroid and they said they'd send me another unit for $135. I told them why would I spend another $135 for a clearly defective unit, especially since I'd since learned that numerous other buyers of this same DVD player had experienced the same dead screen issue. Polaroid told me to take it or leave it, tell it to somebody who cares. No more Polaroid products for me!!!
