Motor Died after only 4 months!

I purchased on May 9th after reading reviews saying this is a great player for the price. In the beginning of Sept. the motor that spins the dvd started dying and dvds stopped playing in the player. I contacted Polaroid about the warranty and they said that the item has to be replaced and it will cost $50 with no guarantees that this will not happen in another 4 months. So in addition to the $300 something you pay to get the dvd player you will eventually pay another $50 in order to get it replaced. I say when because some of the other recent reviewers have also experienced the same motor problem with this item. With the money I spent on this player I should of bought a Sony! So buyer beware when purchasing any Polaroid Portable DVD player!
